Secret Mission, Eh!

There was a very special secret mission in the world yesterday, but little does the CIA (Cat Intelligence Agency, of course) know that an entirely different secret mission was going down right here.

Cupcakes, Eh!

I don't know what these cupcake things taste like, but apparently they are they all that and a bag of catnip!

Niece got these cupcakes in the mail.  You may be wondering why doesn't Niece just get them at a store here in faBOOlous Las Vegas?  Well, Niece says these are special cupcakes.  They were made to help a very sick doggie.

Krazy Keebler, Eh!

Keebler got to go on an adventure today to the v-e-t.  Yuppers, off to Dr. P. she went for her check up and shots!  Niece loves Keebler because she simply puts the carrier out, and Keebler jumps in.  Seriously Keelber?  You're making the rest of us look bad, eh!!

500 Anipals, Eh!

I have 500 anipals on Twitter. I'd name them all here, but it would just take far too long. I am proud to say though that there are cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, stuffed animals, and a few humans. Oddly enough, there are no fish. Must be hard to Tweet from the ocean, eh! *MOL*

I shall now commence the Boo Biggins Boogie Celebration Dance and crown them all my Boo Buddies!!

Mulder, Eh!

As many of you know, I have a Twitter account. As of yesterday, I have over 1,000 tweets! Exciting, eh! My tweets show up on my blog over there to the left in my "Twitterbox" (get it, it's like a litterbox? *snicker snort*).

Twitter is kind of fun as I have anipals from all over the globe! Yuppers, I'm not the only tweeting cat (or dog or guinea pig or bird or rabbit) out there. There are tens of thousands of us. It's a nice community. I've learned cool things from my Twitter pals and even taught them a few things about life as a Canadian cat in Las Vegas.

Today was a bitter sweet day though. One of my first Twitter pals Mulder (know as @Mulder_Cat on Twitter) had to cross the Rainbow Bridge.

For those of you not familiar with the term, it's a beautiful verse written about when us anipals go to heaven. Here it is:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So, Mulder had been sick for awhile with that horrible thing we all hate - cancer. Mulder liked to call his human "Staff" which was just hilarious. Staff took great care of Mulder and tried every treatment there was. Mulder did well for awhile, but recently that hoser cancer became too strong. (And hoser is a nice term, I could use something way worse here!)

From what we can tell in the Twitter community, Staff seems to be doing ok for losing his anipal today, and in common Twitter fashion, @Mulder_Cat was giving updates from OTRB today! (I've recently learned this power is possible.) Sounds like he even took his iPad over there, eh! *snicker snicker*

He said he was back to his normal weight, had his front claws back, and had wings - just like my brother Smoke! I dropped Mulder a tweet and asked him to give that bossy brother of mine a big old thwap on the head up there. I said he couldn't miss him - he's the big fat gray cat from Canada. *MOL* Mulder said, no problem he was on it!

It's great to know humans and anipals can still talk to any of our loved ones whether its through prayer, dreams, or OTRB Twitter! *MOL*

Mulder has a sister still here on Earth. Here name is Scully. Mulder says that Scully will take over bossing Staff around. Sounds like a solid kitty plan to me!

One of the best things I think Mulder shared with us on Twitter is how to build a kitty tuffet. It's basically a wonderful warm, snuggley blanket pile. I told Niece and now they're my roommate Frankie's favorite!

With happy thoughts of Mulder,
Boo Man

Raining Us And Dogs, Aye!

My oh my is it wet here in the desert! Holy meowzers! From my window seat I can see rain on the ground, rain on the trees, rain on the grass, rain in the air... and worst of all there are NO birds out there to see! I mean I don't blame them, getting wet is about as fun as going to the vet, but I sure do miss seeing them fly around. Hopefully though they're warm and dry in their little bird shelters.

The other problem with the rain is that Keebler and Newbe can't go out to the garage and sit on Niece and The Boy's cars. See every night after dinner, they like to go out and sit on the warm car hoods, but because the cars are wet, they're not allowed out to the garage right now. And man are they grumpy! I'll be glad when the cars are dry again, and maybe Keebler's paws will be cleaner after she comes back in now that the rain cleaned Niece's SUV! Sometimes it looks like she's been out there changing tires.

I got to go out to the garage once, but Niece saw me lick the bottom of her truck and I got grounded... forever... I was just seeing what dirt in Las Vegas tasted like - geeez! I guess though there are yucky chemicals and she didn't want me to get hurt. She's a good guardian.

Well, I'm off to watch more of the rain! I hear we may see the sun tomorrow and maybe even a bird or two.

Pawsitively Yours,
Bored Boo Man

Been Busy, Aye!

Howdy Howdy!

Sorry it has been so long since I've written on my blog. I've been one busy fella.

First, Niece and The Boy finished the window seat, and let me tell you, that is one fabulous window seat! I have officially moved from the casita to the window seat. Now "why", would you ask, would I give up a luxurious suite for a seat? Well let me tell you why: I can sleep on it, I can nap on it, I can sit on it, I can watch birds from it, I can watch television there, I can get afternoon sunshine, and I can hang out with everyone since they are always in that room... the thing is amazing. Outside of the vacuum pouch salmon and catnip cigars, I'm not sure anything better has been invented.

Then we had some visitors. The Boy's family came to see us. That was a lot of fun because everyone thought I was one cool fella. I appreciate that they're smart people who know a good lookin' Canadian guy when they see one, aye. Even more fun was an air bed in the casita. I think we should have an air bed in the casita all the time, even though it would then be hard to chose whether to be on the air bed or on the window seat. Here I am enjoying its awesomeness!

Another cool thing about the airbed was blankets! I love getting under blankets. It's like having my own tent or fort or cave. Here's a photo of me burrowing like a ground hog.

Yup life is pretty good. Lila and I have become good friends. Keebler is still my buddy. Frankie doesn't come around much, but I like her anyhow. And then there's Newbe... our relationship has it ups and downs, but for the most part we're living a much more peaceful life. I'll never understand that crazy American girl, but I have respect for how fast she can run up the stairs. I'm getting faster too! Which is good for my work outs and my heart!

Speaking of which, I see Dr. P. again tomorrow for a check up. They have given me some medicine that is supposed to help keep me healthy! That's good because I have lots of and lots of years to sit on that window seat!!

I saw Peggy Sue recently. She's doing great. She loves her buddy Charlie and she's all fluffy for winter, which is good because her summer haircuts are kinda silly, but it keeps her nice and cool when she's rolling around in the grass. Which might I add, I can see our grass from my window seat and the birds that are on it. I love the window seat!!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween - Niece and The Boy don't pass out candy, which I'm glad. It's so crazy to hear that doorbell every 2 seconds. Us cats, we hate that. Doorbells are bad - they're NOT window seats...

Next up, Thanksgiving!! I can't wait to see how much turkey Keebler gets from Niece and The Boy. That girl can beg for food like no other kitty I've seen. You'd think she was a dog!!

Window Seat Boo Man

Get Your Bracelets, Aye!

Now I know all of you ladies out there love to shop - I've seen it! The Canadian Mafia (as I like to call it) can perform tactical manuevers on a mall unlike any other gang of foxy mamas I know! Shopping is embedded on the DNA of those from the Island.

Niece just got a really pretty blue bracelet from www.petcancerawareness.org

It is a non-profit that donates money to pet cancer research. It was started by the food company we eat kibble from - and it is some TASTY kibble!! It is all natural with chicken breast, cranberries, carrots, sweet potatoes, - none of those words or ingredients I can't read!! Niece gets it at that magic store, PetsMart. I even heard from Peggy Sue that their dog food is just as tasty and good for you!! And it is made here in the U.S..

Anyway, back to the shopping and the jewelry... For $2 (U.S., not a tooney) you can get a bracelet too! The proceeds go to the charity so amazing places like big Universities can conduct research and stop the #1 killer of dogs and cats.

Lila is a survivor of feline breast cancer, and I'm so proud to write this on my blog today!!

So go get'em super shoppers!! Buy your bracelets!!

Pawsitively yours,
The Boo Man

Nicknames, Aye?

I've come to the conclusion that people in America love nicknames and silly words. Here are some of the ones I've heard lately:

The Boo Man (Very super hero sounding. I'm pretty sure I could save the day if I had a good nap.)

Boo Bear (Can I use that as my trucker CB radio ID? "Breaker breaker, this is Boo Bear, what's your 20? I've got some fire in the wire and a smokey on my tail.")

Honey Bear (Oh come on, that screams wuss city!)

Buddy (Isn't that a dog name? Yuck!)

Big Boy (As in the restaurant that Bob guy had?)

Lover Boy (Now that's what I'm sayin'!)

Mr. Tubbs and The Big Guy (I'm pretty sure these are a direct reference to my robust Canadian build.)

Well, if you think those are silly, check out some of the ones my roommates have to endure. Mind you, their real names are Keebler, Newbe, Lila and Frankie.

Troubles McGee (Is Keebler's last name McGee? Huh, I thought she was Norwegian not Irish.)

Keebee (Sounds like a bumble bee locksmith, "Just call the Key Bee for all your lock troubles!")

Keebs (Rhymes too much with dweeb. If she was in elementary school they'd call her Keebee the Dweebee. That would be bad.)

Dewbe (People could really take this the wrong way, I mean I know we all do a little catnip from time to time, but that's the hard stuff!)

Dewbers (That's too hard to say with my Canadian accent, aye?)

Dewbs (Sounds like boobs - that is funny!)

El Dewbo (It has great latin flare! Wonder if she has a cape and sword?)

Pumpkin D (What?!)

Crazy Legs (Several cats have this nickname, I'm not sure who truly owns it though. They're all crazy to me!)

Bella (Ahhh, the sounds of Italy... "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore...")

Stinky (I've seen some of the butts around here and this ain't no lie. Know what I'm sayin'?!)

Stinkles (Again, just another way to say kitties need to lay off the kibble sometimes. Step away from the bowls folks.)

Frank'n'Stuff (Better her than me with this nickname.)

Frankles (Who is the cat again? I never see her...)

I'm pretty sure the only way I can end this posting is to share my nicknames for Niece and The Boy.

Niece is Food Lady.
The Boy is Food Man.

Pawsitively Yours,
Honey Bear

She's Fluffy Not Fat, Aye?

As I spend more time here, I learn more about my roommates. There are 2 long haired cats like myself, the oldest one being Lila. I don't see much of her. She's kind of shy. Niece says she's a Maine Coon. I'm familiar with Maine as it is not far from my Canadian home, aye.

Lila is the biggest cat (well used to be before I arrived). She is 13 pounds and has fur between her toes just like me (see below)! Even though she is a Maine Coon, she was born in Arizona - how her family got from Maine to Arizona, I'll never understand! Lila turned 8 years old this year and has been with Niece for 7 years.

Niece said that Lila was in a place called a shelter and was "running out of time". I don't know what the means but it sounds scary! A very nice lady from a "rescue" group in Arizona became Lila's foster mom. She took very good care of Lila and on the weekends, Lila got to go to the greatest place on Earth - PetsMart! Ooooh, it's the Disneyland for animals. Niece says that lots of animals find good homes at PetsMart because they help "rescue" groups show their animals to hopeful pet parents. It sounds like a good plan to me!!

Anyway, Niece used to go to PetsMart every weekend because she had guinea pigs (guess they're very hungry and need lots of stuff), and every weekend she would see Lila. Niece said that Lila didn't like the noise and ruckus of the party going on at PetsMart so she was in a quilted cube with a porthole. That sounds very luxurous to me. Niece says it was very cute and everyone in the store would always say, "Look at that adorable cat in the cube!"

Finally, one Saturday Niece thought to herself, "If that kitty in the cube is still there, I think she'll have to come home with me!" And sure enough, when Niece got there, Lila and her cube were there!! Isn't that great? It was destiny! I love a good story... Here is a photo of Lila on her first day home.

Niece says that Lila is her best friend. Now, I know she loves all of us here, but I guess because Niece and Lila lived together before The Boy and the other kitties lived together, they have a special bond. Lila seems to love Niece too. She follows here everywhere. Niece and Lila hug alot, and Lila lets Niece carry her around. It's kinda funny. Niece hugs me too - I guess she likes to hug! I can see why Lila likes it though. Niece is a good kitty hugger.

One thing I thought was very neat is that Lila and I have the same favorite mouse! When I arrived from Canada, I had my friend Doofus Dog and a gray mouse with a purple tail. Lila has the same one - she actually has three!! She hugs them all the time. She falls asleep with them and everything. I'm not quite that close to my mouse...

I hope I get to meet Lila more. Niece always has such nice things to say about her. I'm sure as time goes on, we'll run into each other more. Plus I think she's pretty! Here are some newer photos.

Entertainment, Aye!

There are a lot of things I find entertaining... playing with Doofus Dog, watching the birds, hanging out on the rug, my virtual fish bowl, but nothing is as good as Simon's Cat! This hillarious guy makes Garfield look like a chump, aye? Niece and The Boy laugh so hard every time they watch his clips. Take a look for yourself!

Father's Day, Aye!

Happy Father's Day everyone!

When I was kitten, my furry mama said my cat dad was very handsome, much like myself.

Niece's dad is very funny and smart. Here's a picture of him with their furry son Charlie. Niece said that they don't really dress alike. It was a joke for the photo... yeah right! MOL!! (Meow Out Loud!) Only dogs have to do such silly things... us cats are far more dignified.

I haven't met The Boy's dad yet. Niece says they live far away, but not quite as far as I lived in Canada. They have a cat named Tigger. The Boy talks to his dad (and mom) on Sundays. I'm always interested when I hear them talk about sports, especially hockey!! I'll be anxious to meet him in the fall when they come to visit.

Here's The Boy's dad doing something he loves - golf!! It's kinda like hockey because you have a stick and you hit an object, but people keep their teeth in golf.

Happy Father's Day!!

Boo

My Life, Aye?

So I've been hearing some news that my blog is quite popular, aye! I can understand the appeal - I'm a single fella, from a mysterious foreign country, with some sexy badunk-a-dunk in my trunk-a-trunk. A little jelly in my doughnut (Tim Horton's of course). A little wiggle with my jiggle. Some fluffiness with my toughiness! Well, you get the point...

Since I probably have some readers who don't know my story, let me tell you a little about myself.

My mama found me at the pet store on Prince Edward Island when I was just 6 weeks old. I was pretty petite back then (only 2 pounds according to my vet records). One time as a kitten, I was sleeping on a couch cushion with my human sister, and when she woke up, I was snuggled on her shoulder sucking on her ear lobe! Guess I confused her ear for some tasty kitten's milk! My cuteness didn't stop there though. I used to like to leave cat toys in her shoes too when she came to visit.

I grew up with another cat named Smoke. He was a big fella, like myself, and LOVED to go outside. He was a little crazy, well ok, maybe a lot crazy! But we had a good little life when he wasn't being the bossy older brother. Unfortunately, he had an accident with one of those machines the humans have (the metal ones with the wheels). He healed for the most part, but I think it took too many of his 9 lives. He's very happy in heaven now. He runs and plays where ever he wants, and there are no cars there because everyone has angel wings and can fly.

Just a few years ago, my mama got a dog! At first, I was like, "MEOW WHAAAAT?!", but we already had a canary named George, so I let it go. Cat, bird, dog - whatever, we're all special in our own ways.

My furry sister's name is Peggy Sue. We are pretty good friends. It took me a bit to warm up to her because she loves to play while I love to sleep, but I have to admit, her sunny personality is contagious. She also used to eat my food all the time! I found that pretty rude for a Canadian lady. I mean I can't maintain this svelte fighting weight without my kibble!

Recently, my mama went on a journey to see Smoke. I'm sure they're having a fabulous time in heaven. It's weird she's not here on Earth, but I'm ok... matter of fact, I'm having a wonderful time living in Las Vegas. I'm so excited to hang out with all my extended family. I've heard so much about them over the years because they sent my mama lots of emails, had funny phone calls, and visited our happy home. And now, I'm even starting to make some new friends.

Here are a few of my favorite things:
#10 - The birds outside flying by. They're so fun to watch!
#9 - Canadian hockey
#8 - The word "hoser". Americans don't use it enough!
#7 - Rolling around. My mama taught me how to roll over. Pretty cute huh?
#6 - Chillin'
#5 - My blue cushion my mama made and now my fabulous big bed!
#4 - Doofus Dog - he's a hoot! I love that funny guy.
#3 - Being brushed
#2 - My fort that Niece built me. See, I tried to squeeze behind the books on the bookshelf because it seemed like a neat spot. So, she cleared them out and gave me a shelf and put blankets around it. I crawl in there and pretend I'm a lion in a cave. It's awesome. What kid doesn't love a fort?!
#1 - It's a tie between kibble and sleep.

Well, it's getting late here in the Pacific time zone. Until next time avid readers!!

Pawsitively Yours,
Boo

Photos, Aye?

Just had to post a few pictures of my family... There's Niece and The Boy. I've had great fun with them this past week.

Then there's my furry sister Peggy. I'm going to get to see Peggy tomorrow! My human sister's birthday is coming up so they'll be over for dinner (Sister is going to be 420 in cat years - wow!!!) The other dog in the picture is Charlie. Peggy thinks Charlie is pretty fun! Guess he plays more than I did, but that's ok with me.

My Family, Aye?

Howdy do, aye?! Today has been a wonderful day. First, there was rain! Oh, how I love the rain. It came down really hard too. I had a great time watching it fall on the trees and grass out front. Yes, my new home has trees and grass! Kinda funny for the desert, aye?

Niece and her fiance The Boy are treating me very well. I know they were anxious for me to venture out this weekend and hang out on the big couch, but alas, I'm so happy in my suite that I'm content to just snooze the day away on my big bed. I have found out the room I'm staying in is called a "casita". I guess it is "southwesty" talk for "Boo's big fancy space". MOL! (that's short for meow-out-loud)

This evening I hung out with my favorite guy - Doofus Dog. He made the trip with me from Canada. He's always up for an adventure. As you can see he is green. My roommates have one too. He is yellow. My neice washed all of our toys and beds this weekend, but she didn't wash Doofus Dog. She said he looked like a good worn in teddy bear and needed to stay that way.

The Wegie also stopped by tonight. I don't mind her too much. I actually got close enough to sniff her. The American was by, she wanted to play wrestle. I think she watches too much WWE with The Boy. I wasn't game. Ever since The Rock retired, it's just not the same... The Maine Coon popped in briefly but she's still playing hard to get and running away. She has a funny little trot. The Lynx Point Siamese, who is quite chatty, swung by and had lots of sweet greetings. She seems quite lovely, but honestly that's just to many ladies talking all at once. I had to kick them out and just chill with the Doofus.

Don't tell the mounties, but I had some of "the nip" tonight. Just a little hit. Niece says it is legal in the U.S... she even said that they sell it at the store! I guess you can buy it fresh or dried. That's just silly, aye?

Well, Doofus is over hanging on my bed so I think I'll have a bedtime snack and join him. More tomorrow from my happy casita!

Pawsitively Yours,
Boo
